Abstract
This chapter discusses the ethical and moral issues of AI technology deployment and the different ways of dealing with safe development. This research utilizes a literature review–based approach to review the existing studies concerning ethics in AI. With the help of other scholarly articles, books, and reports, this chapter aims to identify various themes and trends associated with ethical considerations during artificial intelligence systems' development and implementation stages. The literature highlighted some critical ethical problems: algorithmic bias, data protection laws, and transparency in decision-making processes. The study highlighted several challenges explained by published literature and their implications to individuals and organizations, thus suggesting some suggestions for ensuring responsible innovation in society. Addressing ethics across different areas and endorsing good practices regarding AI in society are the two crucial factors identified in this chapter. The need for collaboration across various disciplines and the active involvement of all stakeholders, including establishing regulations to guide developers throughout the design and implementation phase, is also necessary for the ethical use of AI systems. There is an essential requirement for the intensification of awareness campaigns, particularly among researchers engaged in studies involving machine learning algorithms or other related forms.
