Abstract
This chapter elevates perspectives of two ranking female officers who are on the front line serving and protecting us, and engaging with diverse communities daily. This chapter opens up with a framework to understand a case study shared by the female police officers. The framework includes the concepts of intersectionality, structural inequality, and systems thinking. We also discuss recruitment, training, and retention of women police officers and offer recommendations, grounded in the framework.
