The trend of “slow travel” in India is increasingly widespread post-COVID-19 pandemic. Slow travel is common among all generation groups where one dives into the local culture, food, beauty of the surroundings, history, and lifestyle. It helps minimize travel mobility, explore self-reflection, and make eco-conscious decisions. This slow-traveling offers fewer carbon footprints, preserving culture, positive environmental impacts, and more experiential travel. The chapter explores the status connected with the five pillars of sustainability: People, Planet, Peace, Prosperity, and Partnership with slow tourism in India. The chapter also outlines the slow tourism initiatives in India. The study focuses on a comprehensive review of secondary data to achieve the objectives. The government agencies' reports, tourism articles, and studies were also reviewed. The chapter's findings highlight the new vision of tourism to travelers, hoteliers, and local travel service providers. Furthermore, the study findings promote traveler's sustainable approach to low carbon emissions and climate change. The paper explains the current state of “slow tourism” in Indian Content.
