First page of Conclusion

In the wake of the murder of George Floyd, a forum on accounting and race emerged. It has been a space for both academics and practitioners to share experiences, resources, and ultimately create a bond with each other. This book is a direct output of individuals within the forum expressing a desire to have their voices in print. This book had at its core the goal for authors to say what they wanted to say. Some of the topics discussed were decolonization, caste, racism, white supremacy, violence, and exploitation. These all represent words that are difficult to justify to reviewers and editors when trying to publish under the constraints of major academic journals.
