Abstract
This chapter clarifies the duties, responsibilities, competencies and procedures that Principal Designers (PDs) and Permanent Works Designers (PWDs) have in relation to temporary works. It also provides guidance on common “buildability” issues and temporary works design principles. Finally, it highlights the range of further information available to designers.
