Esra Abdelzaher obtained her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Debrecen, where she started her research on Computational Lexicography at the Institute of English and American Studies. Her research interests include Frame semantics, FrameNet, cognitive semantics, and corpus linguistics. She is now exploring the new potentials provided by Bert in lexicographic practice. She has published research articles addressing the possibility of applying FrameNet to user-generated content for granular social or political phenomena detection. She is investigating the plausible interoperability between FrameNet and other language resources for improving the output of modern lexicography. She has recently contributed to the The Routledge Handbook of Cognitive Linguistics.
