Remembering back to my past, I can safely say that I had what I can only assume to be a normal childhood. I played sports and I had a few friends. I was well-behaved, and I progressed greatly in school. I suppose if I was categorising myself during my school years, I would probably be in the nerd category. Unfortunately, just being placed in that category brought its own problems. I quickly became the victim of bullies. Reflecting on my schooldays, without a doubt, the bullying I received was a very mild dose. In saying that, it still impacted on me. I vividly remember on one occasion the thought of committing suicide just to escape from it. To this day I cannot remember exactly what age I was when I had these suicidal thoughts, but I know I was in primary school, therefore, I was under 12 years old.
