R. H. FLOWERS UKAEA Harwell

When measuring the internal free volume of coated particles at room temperature, is there a problem due to adsorption of argon on the buffer layer carbon?

H. BILDSTEIN

Due to the high temperature pressure, 100kp/m2sB 107 N/m2, adsorption if any (argon has been used also as fluidising for during coating) does not influence results.

J. A. TURNBULL Berkeley Nuclear Laboratories

Was the grain size of the kernel measured after determining the gas released into the free volume?

H. BILDSTEIN

No.

B. E. SHELDON UKAEA Harwell

How does the accuracy of internal free volume measurement compare with the accuracy of the calculations?
