The benefits of digital transformation for organizations such as increased innovation and efficiency are also accompanied by unique challenges and costs (technology, training, security). To effectively carry out essential leadership functions in a digital environment, leaders need to develop “digital savvy”: a combination of technical savvy and the capacity to sense social interactions and organizational dynamics in digital environments.
