This Chapter discusses how service-learning connects to Confucianism and its implication for education. The five constant virtues of Chinese Confucianism, namely Ren (benevolence), Yi (justice), Li (propriety), Zhi (moral understanding), and Xin (integrity) will be discussed and will explore how these values facilitate the moral and character development of students in education. The relationship between the five constant virtues and ideal western youth characters are also identified. It argues that integrating Confucian constant virtues as a theoretical framework and servicelearning as a practical framework can construct a useful system for developing students’ morality and positive character, particularly in the Chinese Context.
