Audrey Aamodt’s Russian-German, English, Swiss, and Norwegian great grandparents benefited from treaty making between First Nations and the Crown as homesteaders in Treaty 6 and Treaty 4, Saskatchewan, Canada. Through the lens of a White settler Canadian on the prairies, she is interested in and committed to living treaty relationships and responsibilities, including addressing how White supremacy and racism are reproduced by school systems. Audrey holds a PhD in curriculum and instruction from the faculty of education at the University of Regina. There, she practices engaging in teacher education moments that imagine, embody, and grapple with education for social and ecological justice.
