The chapters in this volume have provided ample evidence as to the importance of human resources to the success or failure of entrepreneurial ventures. The chapters in this volume also have emphasized the need for scholarly research examining how human resources should be managed within the context of the high growth entrepreneurial firm. In this chapter, we addressed how future research might help us better understand when entrepreneurial firms would be most likely to benefit from investing in HR, what kind of HR practices and programs are likely to be most critical to entrepreneurial firms, and how such practices should be implemented and delivered.
