First page of Moving the Needle Forward on eService-Learning
Growth of eService-learning

It is hard to fathom that I have been using eService-learning for over 30 years. So much has changed since then. Never in my wildest dreams did I envision that I would hold a cell phone in my hand that had more computing capability than the entire Apollo mission control or that I would have a tool like Google classroom, where a could teach live from my home. Undoubtedly, the global COVID pandemic has ushered in a new era of necessity in teaching and learning that will reshape the way educators deliver instruction. Interactions in physical space must now give way to interactions in a new space that is mediated by technology. Meija (2020) expressed the immediate need for tools and resources to restructure coursework. In the beginning, many institutions rushed to put service-learning programs, projects, and courses into some type of online learning format. Some were successful, but many were not. They did not have the essential support needed because something of this scale had never been done before. With this new technology, it is essential that we take time to plan, create frameworks and develop sustainable delivery methods to create best practices in eService-learning.
