First page of Institutionalization of eService-Learning

Not many universities were working with eService-learning before the COVID-19 pandemic forced many into online teaching formats, however, Missouri State had been working with eService-learning for over a decade. In this chapter, we examine the elements of institutionalization of service-learning and eService-learning and then detail how one university was ready to jump to online learning. We conclude the chapter with an interview of Dr. Katherine Nordyke to get her perspectives about how her university and office was able to handle the transition so quickly and seamlessly. Dr. Nordyke talks candidly about successes and challenges with the process. What follows is a brief review of literature for institutionalizing Servicelearning (components that are essential to the mix), essential elements for institutionalizing eService-learning, and then a conversation which provides perspectives on how Missouri State developed and is sustaining their eService-learning.
