The department is well known for cohortbased selective scholarship programs as well as leadership seminars and workshops. Therefore, every day I have the privilege of interacting with student leaders. As the students and I discuss leadership, they often reference the COVID pandemic and the racial unrest of 2020 as a life-altering time. This experience was a formative moment for many young leaders, but what exactly did they learn?
