This study explores the adoption of a pedagogical framework and the peer coaching program created to assist in its classroom implementation in a small private co-educational college in the Middle East. In 2018, the college was required to adopt and demonstrate application of a pedagogical framework in order to earn accreditation. It hired a consultant from an affiliated university in the United States to conduct webinars on a framework developed on her campus and to provide instruction on how to peer coach. We describe the five categories of effective instructional practice, the five gears, that make up the pedagogical framework and the reciprocal peer coaching program. Pre-post knowledge survey (KS) data, collected from 12 instructors before and after peer coaching, display an increase in confidence in understanding the five gear-embedded class session plan. Student survey data collected from four classes whose instructors represent the extremes on the KS give a rich picture of how instructors use the five gears and illustrate the positive relationship between peer coaching and five gear application in teaching. The 2021 final report from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority and Quality Assurance indicates that the pedagogical framework was successfully adopted and applied, and the college was awarded full accreditation.
