This chapter reports on programmatic research to map profiles of functions practiced in corporations in Asia countries and studies the impact of organizational context factors on these functions. A program of research on these questions developed and employed the Managerial Efficacy Profile (MEP). Managers from 10 Asian nations were investigated: Japan (n=382), China (n =519), Taiwan (n= 140), Singapore (n=25), the Philippines (n=116), Thailand (n= 109), Malaysia (n= 101), Indonesia (n = 38), Vietnam (n= 21), and India (n = 48). This research revealed different profiles of MEP. In addition, LMX leadership was found to play a key role in each nation’s managerial efficacy profile. The implications of these findings are discussed and suggestions for future research are offered.
