In this chapter, we bring forward our interest in understanding the relationship between spirituality, identity formation, and Christian faith-informed teacher education. First, we define Christian spirituality and identity formation as it pertains to the dominant and nondominant discourses in our faith-based teacher education program. Second, we share findings from a qualitative research study we conducted with some of our graduates 10 years after graduation, asking them about their teacher identity formation and who they are today. Finally, we propose what this means for our Christian teacher education program and teacher practice to contribute to the broader discourse concerning spirituality and teacher identity formation.
