Janet is a teacher candidate in the student teaching at Coastal Carolina University (CCU). The university enrolls a diverse population of both undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate students may choose from the 73 areas that lead to a baccalaureate degree. Graduate level students select from 25 master’s degree programs, two educational specialist degrees, and two doctoral programs: the Ph.D. in marine science—coastal and marine systems science—and the PhD in education. CCU boasts a growing array of internship, research, and international opportunities for students as well as numerous online offerings through Coastal Online (Coastal Carolina University, 2019).
