In 2015, the non-profit organization, Code Savvy, launched Minnesota’s first statewide professional development experience for K–12 in-service teachers related to computer science, called the MNCodes Educator Training Program. In this chapter, we describe this program by sharing its history, identifying its guiding framework, and outlining its professional development model. We subsequently provide considerations for others interested in designing a cohort-based professional development experience for in-service teachers.
