The contributions in this volume of the Research and Theory in Educational Administration book series push the field of educational leadership toward embracing a wide array of intersecting new engagements that collectively inform teaching, learning, and research with dis/ability in educational leadership. And as we conclude the volume, we circle back to a stance that Bornstein and Manaseri highlight in their chapter: Schools prioritize normalcy as an essential way of knowing. Ableism is embedded in unexamined assumptions of school structures and school talk in ways that continually construct hierarchical and marginalizing systems. In this chapter, we restate these themes one last time, add to our own narratives, and weave the story of Who Decides? Power, Dis/ability, and Educational Leadership.
