First page of Wrestling With Grace

In one of two states nationwide without a mask mandate and in a town that was about to welcome 25,000+ students back to campus, I did not feel comfortable sending my children to school in person in the fall. My husband and I opted for online learning without hesitation. After all, my kids were going into second and fifth grades, both of which I taught. I could supplement whatever I needed to!

Turns out, supplementation was not the issue. When I asked my second grader where she wanted to set up her desk, I was flattered when she asked to be in my office. We made room for her desk and dug up frames and a lamp to personalize her space. We hung up a bulletin board and got her a calendar, bringing back pleasant memories of my elementary classroom. Things seemed to be off to a good start.
