Piling in the east of London through multiple geological deposits has developed over the past 30+ years allowing a retrospective of pile design, testing and construction to be presented. This specific paper considers design, construction and testing of continuous flight auger (CFA) piles. Examples of integrity and load bearing issues are presented and attributed to construction issues.
