Wave climate has been raised as a key area of uncertainty. Default has been the use of met office data which has significant limits (particularly wave period). Do we need to be looking at other wave/data sources and wave models?

There is a significant benefit in having different providers of modelled wave data, especially as the length and spatial distribution of wave recorders provided through the Strategic Regional Coastal Monitoring Programmes provides and increasingly useful network of control and calibration points against which models can be independently evaluated.
