This essay is an account of a queer life written as an example of post-qualitative research. The essay takes the form of a letter written to a fictional friend. This helps the author give an account of a queer life, as well as a questioning of norms. The essay takes the stance that queer theory is flexible and can be better understood from an interdisciplinary perspective. There is a double aim in this essay: give an account of an imaginary queer character, as well as provide an account of the flexibility of queer theory. The essay concludes with a reflection on current research in management studies criticising post-qualitative research. I argue for a more nuanced approach to this criticism by reflecting on the concept of pleasure and what it means for research.
