This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the current situation and the problems faced by women in STEM fields in higher education in terms of inclusion, diversity, equality, and access. In this context, evaluations have been made from different perspectives, including the reasons why women are less involved in STEM fields, the reasons affecting women’s employment status, and the impact of social values and economic norms. It is known that women have difficulties in inclusion and equality in many fields. This situation can sometimes be more severe in fields such as STEM. There are also many differences in women’s higher education and career planning in terms of diversity and access. In general, in this section, it is aimed to evaluate the current situation of women in the field of higher education STEM and to identify problems with innovative perspectives and to propose solutions.
