Cybersecurity uses technology, processes, and policies to safeguard systems, networks, programs, devices, and data. Power system security means keeping the system running when components fail. Thyristor controlled series compensation (TCSC) is a flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) device attached to an AC transmission network to increase power transfer, stability, and controllability. The utilization of a series-connected FACTS device to observe system performance during a single transmission loss is presented in this chapter. A systemic data transfer involving data encryption and decryption using software tools is utilized to safely transport the required amount of data to the destination based on cyber security ideas. A conventional IEEE-30 bus system is utilized to comprehend and simulate the proposed solution.
