To recognize that educational policy has been held captive by neoliberals is crucial since education should remain a public good. This heightened awareness, through public action, allows advocates to pursue change. Not only does this community-based approach increase resilience and subvert the neoliberal agenda, it offers a chance to champion opportunities for youth through the delivery of fair and equitable education.
