About The Editors

Mark Abendroth is Assistant Professor of Education at SUNY Empire State College in New York City. He coordinates and teaches in the MEd in Teaching & Learning program and also teaches in the MA in Teaching and MA in Adult Learning Programs. His publications include Rebel Literacy: Cuba’s National Literacy Campaign and Critical Global Citizenship (Litwin Books, 2009).

Brad J. Porfilio is the Director of Doctorate in Educational (Ed.D.) Leadership for Social Justice at California State University, East Bay. His research interests and expertise include: urban education, gender and technology, cultural studies, neoliberalism and schooling, and transformative education.
