First page of Moving as Conducting Everyday Life
Experiencing and Imagining for Teleogenetic Collaboration

Moving is living and living requires movement, flow—this is also what my university’s motto alludes to. As Tania Zittoun and Alex Gillespie (this volume; henceforth Z&G) argue in their chapter, moving is experiencing and experiencing requires movement. But as Z&G highlight throughout their contribution, living is not exclusively about body and mind curiously moving around and experiencing the world, as the university motto insinuates. It is also about integrating and—as I understand them—temporarily fixating the flow of experience. Z&G conceive of integration of the manifold experiences into a seemingly consistent whole as being just as existentially significant for human living as the process of experiencing itself.
