First page of Conclusion

What difference does it make in someone’s preparation to become a teacher if they are queer? Will being queer make any difference to students? How does one negotiate being queer and becoming a teacher? It is evident that we are making strides towards queering our schools of education and our teaching populations. We’re here (we always have been), we’re queer, and the field of education may as well get used to it because we’re increasingly coming out. What, then, has been revealed by these letters? What is it that we can draw from the experiences of these queer and straight educators that can inform educating for social justice leadership?
