In this chapter we explore how the socio-economic management model allows family firms (FFs) to professionalize their managerial practices and increase their performance. Based on a intervention-research initiated in 2017, we highlight the managerial specificities of these firms, their main dysfunctions as well as the proven improvement actions. This chapter also makes explicit the characteristics of the methods and tools of socio-economic management that play a decisive role in resolving the difficulties encountered by family businesses
