Chapter 3: A Tamed Digitalization Process to Support the Development of the Socio-Economic Approach to Management

SEGESE software is a major IT application designed at ISEOR since 1987 to support the socioeconomic diagnoses operations. The design method of this application and the key role of the users in the initial development and in the ongoing enrichment of the knowledge base for 35 years are key and original characteristics. This tool illustrates the principle of a “tamed” digitalization, the adaptations of roles and working methods of computer experts and user-experts in socio-economic management.
