At present, organizations are linked to and subjected to a set of changes and threats that condition their socioeconomic behavior. This set of threats translates into business risks, which must be identified and assessed in order to mitigate the negative effects they can have on the economic and social performance of organizations. This chapter presents and analyzes the importance of the study of risks at present and their management, under the perspective of the COSO Model and the ISO 31000 Standard, considering the different classifications of risks that can and should be identified. Finally, we conclude with a brief description of the risks that should be identified in the audit activity, applying the Risk Model identified in the International Standard on Auditing ISA-ES 315.
