First page of From Visual Actual Genesis and Ontogenesis Toward a Theory of Man

Visual actual genesis (microgenesis) is the process of stepwise differentiation of visual experience. Visual actual lysis is its counterprocess, that is, a stepwise dedifferentiation of visual experience. Both processes are basic facts of perception, but ignored by mainstream science. The aim of this chapter is, first, to report methods and results of experimental research on this domain, second, to describe, according to the “Empiristic theory of visual gestalt perception” (Kleine-Horst, 2001), the ontogenesis of the visual gestalt factor hierarchy, the actualization of which leads to visual actual geneses, and third, to demonstrate a way to reach to a theory of man, by enlarging the symmetries found.
