This chapter describes a teacher preparation and faculty professional development process that was implemented during the Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) grant at the University of Missouri (MU) during 1999-2003. The goals for the project were aligned with the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) objectives and indicators for the PT3 program and included the following: (1) all teacher education faculty will participate in revising the teacher education curriculum to integrate technology into teaching; (2) all teacher education faculty will demonstrate fluency in using technology in teaching and learning; (3) preservice teachers will demonstrate fluency in using technology in teaching and learning; and (4) beginning teachers will successfully transfer technology-infused, standards-based teaching and learning to classrooms.
