First page of The Legalities and Practicalities of Catholic Charter Schools

What if a group of Catholic families, perhaps working with their priest or church, wanted to open a charter school? What if a diocese was in the process of closing a school due to financial pressures and decided that rather than close the school it would convert the existing school into a charter school? Why not? It would bring public funding to help support their charter school, giving parents an opportunity to create a new school or keep a school open. And the state would pay most of the costs, thus radically affecting the balance between the state and the citizen.
