For the most part, people look for work so that they are able to meet their basic needs, to consume, to feel satisfied, and to be socially and professionally accomplished. In other words, they do so in order to be able to exercise their right to citizenship.

In order to better understand the issue, and the importance of doing work that carries meaning, it is necessary to revisit some facts concerning human behavior that are forgotten in the majority of environments in which the work is carried out.

The world and its economy are changing. Workplace relations are no longer as they once were. Careers and jobs are going through a period of profound transformation.
