This chapter presents the results of a research study designed to examine the merits of weekly morning seminars taught by school personnel for secondary teacher candidates at a professional development school (PDS). The goal of these seminars was to broaden the understanding of the entire school environment for preservice teacher candidates participating in a variety of field experiences at the school. The purpose of this study was to identify the benefits and limitations of this experience. Inherent in this activity was the collaborative working relationship of the PDS faculty and administration, preservice teacher candidates, and university faculty, thereby forming an inclusive environment of practice within the PDS.
