This chapter describes a successful professional development school (PDS) partnership between a university and a high-poverty, urban elementary school that prepares teacher candidates and provides professional development opportunities for teachers. The data collected from teachers’ interviews, preservice teachers’ ethnographies, PDS evaluation forms, and statistics from state test scores reveal that the partnership has contributed to students’ academic achievement.
