In a recent conversation with a young person, she shared with me some of her schooling experiences. Whenever I am fortunate enough to receive these revelations I try to listen intently. Unfortunately, more times than not I find that my heart aches deeply after these types of conversations. In this case she shared with me a few things. For one, she shared how she and her classmates were promised a one-and-a-half-hour Halloween party; and that they had spent hours of time talking about, anticipating, planning, and dreaming about the fun they would have during this event.
