My concern is not to persuade, but rather to discuss with you some of the ways that, what I term “The Buddy System in Mathematics Learning” may improve the mathematics curriculum. How can we make the learning of mathematics more stimulating, more realistic, and, above all, more enjoyable for the children in our classrooms? It is my feeling that one way is by cooperative efforts of small groups of people, at all levels of the elementary school strata. To have cooperative efforts, or a “Buddy System” there must be a play of minds. Two heads are better than one, but it often takes three or more to make a decision.
