77: Making Mindscapes: Continuing Reflections of a Community of Researchers

Mindscapes: Reflections of a Community of Researchers was performed at the 1994 annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association. This paper describes the experiences of conceptualizing, writing, performing, and evaluating the Mindscapes experience. Performance is an alternative to the accepted norm of academic presentation at this particular conference. Modes of reflective self-study as research methodology that were used in this instance also challenge the norms of research and definitions of knowledge of this largely scientific community. Our approach to the presentation as an opportunity for further research also challenged the status quo of paper presentations that present results rather than works in process.
