As I walked into what has been called one of the world’s most sustainable buildings, I was proud that I would now be working there. Stepping inside, my gaze was drawn upwards, to the symbolic space between, to the vast and expansive atrium, which seemed limitless. I breathed in and felt spacious in myself and part of the buzzing atmosphere of the people below. Welcoming guests who were having coffee and engaging in brief, yet, meaningful chatter brought an aliveness that made me feel safe and comfortable. The space seemed to say to me, “Be creative, and be bold. Unleash your potential.” I could feel myself moving fluidly, with a dance to each step: I was alive and ready to contribute!
