Enoch Kusi Asare, DBA, CPA, is an assistant professor of accounting at the Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business of the University of Dallas. He teaches managerial accounting, cost accounting, accounting information systems, financial statement analysis, and accounting for managers. His research is focused on behavioral accounting, organizational behavior, and small business finance. His research has been published in the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing and The International Trade Journal. He is a co-author of Enhancing Employee Engagement: An Evidence-Based Approach (with J. Lee Whittington, Simone Meskelis, and Sri Beldona; Palgrave Macmillan, 2017) and “Job Engagement Levels Across the Generations at Work” (with Mark Brightenburg, J. Lee Whittington, & Simone Meskelis; IGI Global, 2020). Prior to teaching at the University of Dallas, Dr. Asare was at Texas A&M University—Texarkana, where he taught intermediate accounting, cost accounting, and advanced accounting systems. As a certified public accountant (CPA), he spent close to 10 years in the industry, where he was a specialist on a wide range of accounting issues. He currently runs an accounting and business consulting practice, where he helps small businesses prepare financial statements and advises them on a range of accounting, tax, and finance issues.
