Historic and contemporary parent engagement practices in pre-K programs serving a western reservation are described. Parents, tribal leaders, program administrators, and pre-K program staff discuss best practices, pitfalls to avoid, compliance issues, and plans for improved parent engagement. Practices were compiled as options for consideration by other Native American pre-K programs throughout the Great Plains region.
