Abstract
As we go into the age of Industry 5.0, the issue of how to make use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is gaining a lot of significance day by day. Through the use of AI-enabled systems and technologies, human resource management (HRM) practices are expanding their sphere of influence. People requirements in the hospitality business encompass a wide range of characteristics, including front desk, operational, and management level positions and responsibilities. In this chapter, academics have attempted to investigate and comprehend new aspects of the management of the most important resources of a business that operates in the hospitality industry. It is the purpose of this chapter to bring attention to the interconnections that exist between AI-enabled tools and the management of human resource-related difficulties in the context of the hospitality industry. To demonstrate the numerous facets that are relevant to AI-based HRM methods and the extent to which they can address the problems and difficulties that are present in the hotel industry, an exploratory cum descriptive design has been employed. This study investigates how AI-induced HR practices are affecting the performance of businesses in the hospitality industry. The People Analytics and AI Technology in Hospitality (PAATH) model explores interesting insights related to collaboration of people and technology. The chapter caters linkages and exploration of facts of technology-driven HRM and its implication to hospitality sector professionals.
