At this panel, we will hear from talented educators themselves regarding the role of teachers in enhancing teacher quality and improving student achievement. So far during this conference we have had the opportunity to hear from experts about how the private sector, the education sector, and government can improve teacher quality and boost student achievement. Now we’re going to hear from the real experts who are “on the ground.” We are joined by six veteran Milken Educator Award recipients, leaders among their peers. Each of them brings a unique perspective gained from working within the system on a daily basis—to improve the educational experience of young people and, importantly, to motivate and mentor teachers.
