Chapter 9: Presentation by Congressman Ralph Regula

I have the great pleasure this morning to introduce a remarkable individual, and a friend of mine, Congressman Ralph Regula. Teachers are the North Star guiding Congressman Ralph Regula’s vision for educational excellence. His distinguished, four-decade career in public service includes years as a public school teacher and principal, as well as an attorney and member of the Ohio Board of Education. Today, Congressman Regula is among the most senior members of the U.S. House of Representatives, and he serves as vice-chairman of the Appropriations Committee and chairman of its subcommittee on Labor, Health, Human Services and Education. As subcommittee chairman, he oversees the largest nondefense spending bill, which provides federal funding for education, health and labor programs.
