First page of The History of Seam

We are going back to the genesis of this method, which was created 40 years ago by Henri Savall. In order to develop his theory, he needed a research center. The aim was to document all the interventions, making sense of the learning through conceptualizing ideas, and then teaching the SEAM approach. ISEOR stands for Socio Economic Institute for Firms and Organizations. Itis a nonprofit association created in 1975 and associated with the University of Lyon 3 and IAE Business School. The former dean of the business school, Gilles Guyot is present today with us.

The theory draws on experiments and consists of 1.6 million hours of intervention research. Two thirds of the time involvedwith this research was spent within the companies. This emphasis is different from traditional research in the field of management, where researchers send questionnaires, use structural equations and then come to conclusions.
